An open organization

Our people are the most important asset of our organization. Energetic and committed employees are a precondition for growth and continuity of our company. The workload at AllRent is often high. That is why we do our best to create a healthy and harmonious working environment. We have open relationships in which everything is negotiable. Every day there is a joint lunch where all kinds of topics are discussed. This improves the experience and involvement of all employees and has a positive impact on everything we do.

Working safely and pleasantly

We provide safe and pleasant working conditions. For example, the industrial halls are equipped with skylights and solar tubes that allow a lot of daylight to pass through. Working in daylight is less tiring than in artificial light. As a result, our employees not only make fewer mistakes, they also have enough energy to exercise after work or to invest in family and friends.

Help with money matters

If our employees are financially healthy, they have fewer worries and enjoy their work more. That is why we help them arrange their financial future. We offer insurance and pension provisions for employees and families, always while retaining personal responsibility. We offer our help to employees who have difficulty understanding financial correspondence and employees who are in (or threaten to become) financial problems.

Diversity in team composition

Our workforce is becoming increasingly multicultural and we are proud of that. We consciously look at the composition of the teams. We prefer to see employees with different cultural backgrounds working together in a team. In addition, we proactively invite women to apply in our traditionally male-dominated business. We are convinced that more diverse teams lead to better results and a more pleasant working climate.

Energy-friendly and pleasant working

Our main location in Almere meets strict sustainability requirements with regard to insulation and climate and energy control. There are 150 solar panels on the roof, with which we provide for our own energy needs and even supply energy back to the grid. The building is equipped with installations that provide fresh, filtered air and a constant temperature. The electricity for this is of course supplied by the solar panels on the roof.

Other locations

We use energy-efficient LED lighting in all our buildings. The buildings have many windows so that there is plenty of daylight. The branch in Belgium has recently been fitted with solar panels. The French site, which we only recently moved into, meets the sustainability requirements that currently apply (2022). We regularly consult with the owner about which energy-saving measures we can take.

Sustainable transport

We closely monitor developments in the field of sustainable transport. More and more inner cities are off limits to polluting combustion engines and only accessible to electrically powered cars. We would like to make the switch to electric vehicles, but they are currently still too limited in terms of battery capacity and driving time. That is why we are still investing in the latest generation of energy-efficient diesel vehicles. We are eager to electrify our fleet.

No unnecessary kilometers

Our diesel buses and cars are perfectly maintained to keep them running as ‘clean’ as possible. We ask our drivers to apply The New Driving: economical driving in order to contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions. The logistics and planning department plans all journeys every day as favorably as possible. This saves thousands of unnecessary kilometers per year. Sometimes the goods are even delivered a day earlier because this fits better with an energy-efficient planning.

Rental is super sustainable

The very nature of our business (the rental of AV and IT equipment) alone makes us a major contribution to a circular society. After all, our materials are reused many times. We usually donate devices that can no longer be used for rental to a charity, association or school. We recover the materials that are still usable from old and damaged appliances for reuse. Equipment returned from long-term rental (HaaS and DaaS) is used again in short-term rental. We use sustainable packaging (especially flight cases) so that our waste streams are minimal.

We do business with manufacturers who are actively committed to circularity. They limit their water and energy consumption, are economical with materials and use recycled materials. They try to extend the life of their equipment and reduce the waste stream. Our suppliers are also working hard on an environmentally friendly supply chain and have set themselves goals to be CO2 neutral by 2030.
